Brooklyn Community Board 14’s 10th Annual Youth Conference is just one month away! The event takes place Wednesday, March 15th from 4-7 PM at the Flatbush YMCA (1401 Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn.)
Meet & Greet
Teens and young adults have a chance to meet with representatives from over 70 organizations, which offer jobs, internships and other opportunities. Because of these interactions, thousands of teens over the years have gained invaluable experience for charting their futures.
Workshops
Throughout the conference there are a handful of 15-minute topical workshops. In the past, those topics have covered how to apply for a job, how to apply for and fund a college education, best practices for handling problems like bullying, and more. Each year, a different set of topics is featured.
Mock Interviews
NEW FOR THIS YEAR! A group of professionals from a variety of industries will host short mock interviews with interested teens, and will offer constructive feedback that teens can use to improve their interview performance for jobs, colleges, and virtually any other opportunities they want to pursue.
