The NYPD 70th Precinct has announced its new Commanding Officer, Captain James Palumbo. Captain Palumbo served previously as the Executive Officer of the 70th Precinct in 2012 and 2013 under Chief Eric Rodriquez, and is looking forward to continuing the collaborative effort with the community and improving the quality of life for the members of our community. Captain Palumbo is looking forward to meeting everybody at the 70th Precinct’s next Community Council Meeting.
Outgoing Deputy Inspector Richard Di’Blasio’s new assignment is Deputy Commissioner of Training at the Police Academy located in Queens. He has been the Commanding Officer of the 70th Precinct for almost two years, and during his tenure with the 70th Precinct he was instrumental in crime reduction and the improvement of quality of life in the Flatbush, Midwood, and Kensington areas.We join the officers of the 70th Precinct, along with our community, in wishing him the best in his new position.
