After word of several online scam or fake memorial funds set up to collect donations in memory of the Sassoon children — the seven children ages five to 16 who died tragically in a Midwood house fire on March 21 — Assemblymember Dov Hikind announced yesterday that a legitimate “Sassoon Children Memorial Fund” has been established.

According to the Home Reporter and Sunset News, the new fund is part of the Jewish Communal Fund (JCF). To learn more or to make a donation, please click here.

In addition, checks may be made payable to the JCF (add “The Sassoon Children Memorial Fund” in the memo) and mailed to the Jewish Communal Fund, 575 Madison Avenue, Suite 703, New York, NY 10022.
