The Department of Transportation (DOT) will be busy in Borough Park, Bensonhurst, and Midwood this summer, repaving several of the neighborhood’s worst streets to ensure a smooth ride for motorists navigating local roadways.
“Smoother streets are safer streets,” said Councilmember David G. Greenfield, who worked with the DOT to identify the streets badly in need of resurfacing.
Streets scheduled for repair work include:
Coney Island Avenue between Avenue P and Avenue R
East 9th Street between Avenue P and Avenue V
East 18th Street between Avenue I and Avenue O
Ryder Avenue between McDonald and Ocean Parkway
Ocean Avenue between Foster Avenue and Avenue K
Kings Highway Between Ocean Avenue and Ocean Parkway
The above is just a partial list. For the full list of streets scheduled for repair work, read the Brooklyn Eagle story, here.
