Since 1993, MDC has assisted people who wish to access government programs including Section 8, NYCHA, HEAP, food stamps, and SCRIE.

For the six-month period of July through December, 2013, MDC helped 46 senior households save $24,465 in rent. An additional 384 people received other benefits assistance during that period.
