Mother Nature was much more cooperative this year, and Brooklynites from near and far came out to enjoy a beautiful evening for the second annual Amazing Midwood Movie & Family Fun Night on Sunday, August 13th.
Kids of all ages enjoyed numerous games and attractions, including a bounce house, a giant rock-climbing wall, face painters, balloon clown, arts and crafts tables, and much, much more. Visitors flocked to the Midwood Movie History Pop-Up Museum, and grooved to live music provided by the Afro-Latineers.
More cerebral folk visited the “Ask a Philosopher” panel, presented by the Brooklyn Public Library. Once the sun went down, all enjoyed a screening of the 1985 classic “Back to the Future,” starring Michael J. Fox.
Many thanks to all for coming out to enjoy a wonderful evening in our community. We are grateful to our sponsors, Dime Community Bank, the Midwood Merchants Association, Taste of Israel, and Wealth of Health.
Amazing Midwood was made possible via MDC’s partnership with the NYC Department of Transportation. The event was part of the New York City Weekend Walks series, and was supported by a grant from NYC Small Business Services.
