Among its many programs and services, Midwood Development Corp. (MDC) provides recreational programs for people with developmental disabilities. One such program is Project Connect, which MDC has been proud to offer for more than 25 years.
Started in 1987, Project Connect is a recreational program for adults with developmental disabilities. Under the leadership of a New York City-licensed physical education instructor, participants enjoy an evening of age-appropriate activities including physical recreation, dance, arts and crafts, and other activities. In addition, Project Connect offers its participants the opportunity to socialize and make new friends.
