This week, the Department of Sanitation announced it will perform extra trash and recycling pickups on the next two Tuesdays (December 27^th and January 3^rd) for those who usually receive pickups on Mondays.

Recycling tends to accumulate especially when there are holidays two weeks in a row, such as we have for the next two Mondays (December 26^th and January 2^nd) after Christmas and New Year’s Day.

For those ordinarily on a Monday schedule, trash and recycling may be put out on Monday, December 26^th and Monday, January 2^nd after 4:00 pm to be picked up.

As a reminder, alternate side of the street parking is suspended and parking meters will not be in effect on Monday, December 26^th and Monday, January 2^nd.
