Assemblywoman Rhoda Jacobs has partnered with the New York City Department of Social Services (DSS) to offer child support assistance. If you know anyone owing $1,000 or more in child support debt, help is available via this program, which runs through the end of the year.

Pay a minimum of $1,000 toward your DSS child support government debt, and in exchange:
• DSS will match your payment and reduce your arrears if you have debt permanently owed to NYC/DSS, up to the amount owed to the government.
• DSS will remove 9% interest charged on a child support judgment owed to the government if you pay the principal amount in full.
• DSS may lift child support arrest warrants.
•  Your payment may help you avoid driver’s license suspension and other penalties.
• DSS may be able to connect you to employment services, mediation services, and other debt reduction programs

To pay, visit the HRA/OCSE Customer Service Walk-In Center and make your payment by certified check, money order, or credit card.
