Assemblyman Steven Cymbrowitz has announced delivery of the Family Tax Relief Credit. This initiative helps families cope with the ever-rising cost of living and the added burden of city, state, and federal taxes. About a million New Yorkers who had a child under 17 as of 2012, with household adjusted gross incomes between $40,000 and $300,000, will benefit from the Family Tax Relief Credit. In Kings County alone, 95,354 families will receive checks totaling $33,373,900. The first batch of $350 checks was sent in late September, with checks going out well into October. In 2015 and 2016 the money will appear as credits when people file their state income taxes.
